·       If the life that I am living is for my glory then I need to be aware that satisfaction of that crown will last, at best, until I draw my last breath, and at worst, until I wake up the next day needing more glory.

o   If I am helping people so that they will praise my name…

o   If I am working to make tons of money…

o   If I live in such a way that my friends affirm my existence…

o   These are all things that will bring me recognition, but they are also things that will die along with my body.

·       However, if I live my life in such a way as to bring glory to God

o   If I help people so that Jesus gets the glory…

o   If I work to bring people the gospel through monetary success…

o   If I live in such a way that my friends know the gospel better than they know me…

o   These are things that will be rewarded to me in heaven because I will have lived a life of faith, spiritual discipline and purpose.

·       My goal is not aimless and my desire is to not be disqualified for the crown that I will one day have the opportunity to lay at the foot of God’s throne.
