Meltdown

Who are we?

·       Every person in this room has experienced our own spiritual meltdown at some point or another.

o   We’ve said something that we regretted immediately.

o   We’ve done something that we hoped no one would find out about.

o   We’ve felt guilty because of something we thought or hoped for.

o   And we’ve fled to our own desert.            

§  We stopped going to church.

§  We stopped praying.

§  We stopped living in faith and began living in fear.

o   Only to find out that God is not done with us yet.

§  It wasn’t a burning bush that He spoke to you through…but a friend from church who missed you and called to check in on you.

§  It wasn’t the voice of God in a cave…but it was the podcast of a sermon that you happened to turn on.

§  It wasn’t breakfast on the shore…but it was an opportunity to share Jesus with someone that you have no doubt was put into your path by God Himself.

§  God’s response is still the same today as it was for Moses, Elijah and Peter.

·       He loves you. 

·       He has a purpose for you.

·       And He has never given up on you even though you have given up on yourself.
