1. A ministry restored.
· But watch this. Just like Peter was restored by Christ into his ministry…so was John Mark.
o One missionary journey became two. Paul goes with Silas, and Barnabas goes with Mark.
o God’s message doubled in that instance and the results are still being felt today with billions of Christians all around the world.
· Years later, Paul would call Mark a “fellow worker in Christ” in Philemon Near the end of Paul’s life, Paul sends a request to Timothy from a Roman prison that says, “Get Mark and bring him with you, because he is helpful to me in ministry.” (2 Timothy 4:11)
· So, what happened? We don’t exactly know.
o Mark matured through the years.
o He showed his faithfulness as a servant of the Lord.
o Paul recognized his progress and eventually saw him as a value in ministry.
